Light Infantry D. T. & E Tank - rope spring track - experimental, 1921
D. T. & E. was the Department of Tank Development, at Charlton Park, South East London. It closed in 1921 and its machines were transferred to the new Tank Testing Section.
This tank is the one referred to in DFM Sheryer's IWM archive audio interview as a light infantry tank weighing 6 tons, with a 100 hp engine, with D. T. & E. lteral suspension and rope sprung track. He describes it as a very fast but unstable machine.
