IMPERIAL WAR MUSEUM AUDIO ARCHIVE

There is a very interesting audio interview:

Daniel Montagu Francis Sheryer was a British Officer who served with the Tank Corps in France, Germany and the UK, 1916-21; and then with the Tank Testing Section at Farnborough from 1921-1925. He then worked as a civilian for the Armaments Inspection Department, Woolwich Arsenal, from 1926 to 1933. He was Secretary to the Mechanisation Board from 1933.

I am afraid I haven't worked out how to embed the interview here but you can find it on the IWM site by using this link: IWM Sheryer interview. Reels 3,4 and 5 are of particular interwar interest.
